The Client
The Learning and Organisational Development Team at Birkbeck College provides a range of development and training opportunities for staff members at the college. Their principle services include staff training, management support and development, career development and organisational development.
Their Challenge
C2 was approached by Birkbeck to provide support with career transitions for a particular cohort of staff. C2 met the Management Development Specialist and it was realised that they needed to offer their staff career development support.
It was determined that there were groups of staff that would require different types of support. C2 suggested providing a combination of one-to-one sessions and workshops on interview skills and application coaching.
C2 managed the administration for this project, and liaised directly with staff members to ensure that they were booked on to the workshop that was most convenient for them.
Outcome
The workshops helped to ensure a number of successful internal promotions.
