Individual Coaching Sessions

C2 can run individual face-to-face career coaching sessions from our central London offices in Russell Square or from your chosen venue. C2 has a full-time administrator who is responsible for handling all bookings. This involves sending through a career discussion form prior to the session to ascertain the individual’s expectations for the session, arranging a suitable time and collecting feedback from the session. Sessions can cover a range of topics including:

Self Awareness and analysis
We would aim to provide you with a more in-depth understanding of yourself and the importance of self awareness in the current job market.
Determining the main motivating factors in your career path to date
Exploring your personality and how it influences your career choices

Exploring career directions
Identifying options inside and outside the relevant industry sector
Action planning and intelligent job hunting and research techniques

Interview skills
Understanding what interviewers are looking for
Preparing your evidence for competency based interviews
Answering questions convincingly; understanding and improving your body language
Dealing with presentations and other selection methods

Effective applications
Highlighting your transferable skills
Marketing yourself effectively on paper: CV, application forms and covering letters

Providing Feedback
The discussion that takes place between the individual and the careers consultant will always remain confidential. At C2, we would ask the individual to complete a feedback form on the session that they have undertaken and this feedback would be sent to your organisation.

Everyone who uses the service will receive a five day access card to use our information resources library. The card is valid for one year.

Group Workshops

Our group workshops provide individuals affected by career change with focused careers advice, information and guidance and practical skills that can help them navigate this time of uncertainty more effectively. All group sessions are interactive - attendees can ask questions and we encourage discussion, which is why we strive to ensure that each group has a maximum of fifteen attendees. Workshop topics include:

Career Management / Career Planning: Take a proactive approach to managing your career

Knowing yourself in a climate of change: based on the internationally respected MBTI psychometric test.

Interview skills: Ensure that you are fully prepared for challenging interviews

CV and Application Forms: market yourself effectively on paper

Identifying Your Skills & Creative Job Hunting: explore techniques to help you to identify your skills and understand how you can market them effectively to employers.

Effective networking: Building professional relationships for mutual benefit

Career Information and Resources Centre

We have a career resource centre located at our offices in Russell Square which could be utilised by your employees. The centre contains information on making career choices, a wide range of occupations and information and advice on further study. There are resources on how to apply for a job including CV, interview, assessment centre and psychometric testing advice.

The Careers Group, our parent organisation, run an online job database. Within the Information Centre we have a detailed reference system of the best job databases to use to look for jobs in different sectors. In addition to this we have resources to help individuals to tap into the ‘hidden’ job market and information on how to look for unadvertised positions.

We have experienced career information practitioners who work in the centre and are equipped to deal with a multitude of enquiries.

I was very happy with the service. Part of the advice I was given seemed incredibly obvious once I'd heard it, and it was good to have some things I already knew confirmed. I would definitely use this service again.
